Vanessa V. Gil is a graduate of Harvard University, where she majored in Art History, with additional coursework in Economics and Finance. She was awarded the Elizabeth Cary Agassiz Scholarship for academic excellence, and graduated magna cum laude. She was also awarded a special grant for thesis research in Florence and Siena.

Upon graduating from Harvard, Ms. Gil worked as a financial analyst in Mergers and Acquisitions at Violy, Byorum & Partners, LLC, a firm focused on Latin American investment banking. She then worked as a media and telecom financial analyst at Communications Equity Associates’ Corporate Finance division.

Following her work at Communications Equity Associates, Ms. Gil attended The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, having been awarded a full scholarship through the Howard E. Mitchell Fellowship. Her coursework at Wharton focused on Finance, Global Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

After earning her MBA, Ms. Gil pursued the lifelong dream of becoming a playwright and novelist. She has written two novels. Previously, she has written for Let’s Go: New York and was a contributor to The New York Observer. Her works for theater have been produced at the Strawberry One-Act Festival in New York, where she was also nominated for Best Director. She has pursued improvisational theater work at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade, as well as a Director’s Workshop at the Yale School of Drama.

Following work with various education start-ups in the New York area, Ms. Gil joined the MBA consulting staff of Stratus Prep.

For her outstanding track success rate at helping clients gain admittance to elite world-renowned MBA programs, she was quickly promoted to Director of MBA Admissions, and managed a team of MBA Admissions Consultants for five years.

Ms. Gil has coached professionals from a broad array of backgrounds, helping them to maximize their career path and gain admittance to top MBA programs, including Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Chicago-Booth, Kellogg, Columbia, Yale…and many more!

Ms. Gil’s distinctive, in-depth counseling approach garnered rave reviews on major MBA sites such as Poets & Quants and GMAT Club, and she has continued demonstrating a high success rate of admission to the most elite MBA programs in the world. In addition, she has also worked extensively with applicants to college, law school, MPP/MPA programs, as well as a full range of other graduate school applicants, including to PhD and medical school programs.
